Appearance: Brilliant clear gold. Thin white head, poor head retention.

Aroma: Grainy malt, herbal/spicy hops. Clean lager yeast profile.

Flavor & Aftertaste: Grainy malt and spicy hops flavors. Restrained bitterness. Short, clean, crisp finish.

Mouth Feel: Medium bodied. Moderately carbonated.

Overall: Rated Summit Skies again other Helles style beers. Had to count off on appearance because of poor head retention. Hits all the other check boxes for Munich Helles. Clean lager profile allows the subtleness of noble hops to come through. This was a solid effort for such a young brewery for style that can be difficult to execute. A beer that can be enjoyed year. Hope they keep this one around.
