Block Party is a 7% IPA with Sabro and Taiheke. We wanted to showcase an IPA that celebrates those hangs with the people who know you the best. Block Party tastes like an orange julius with coconut on the rim.

The beer pours a very cloudy whitish golden color. The head, while minimal, does provide a lot of ring and blanketing lace. Very attractive.
The smell is a bit weedy with a lot of peppery spice. I also pick up smells of grapefruit and freshly zested citrus and papaya.
Initial impressions of the taste are a solid, thick, rich flavor of creamy malt. The hop quickly takes over with a bit of a bite on the tongue. The transition, though, is far more subtle open they never expect. That means the hop does not come in to harshly. The body is rich with a minimal amount of carbonation to cut it. The aftertaste is a combination of both a touch of the malt along with the peppery hop.
