Had a pint at the Blaze Brewpub Restaurant in Bar Harbor. This is a pretty ordinary Hefeweizen with some elements but lacking others. Pours a good straw yellow color with decent carbonation, a bubbly white head, and some lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste featured lemon zest and a little wheat bitterness but lacked the strong yeasty bubble gum/cloves and other spicing found in the better hefes. Mouthfeel was moderately crisp and light but lacking that touch of astringency you would expect. A Moreland version of the style but still a quite drinkable as a thirst quencher.
