Brought back by in-laws from Brazil, best by July 2020
Pours a large foamy fluffy white head with good retention and soapy lacing, very clear honey orange color
Nose brings more old school IPA like, a bit spicy, touch piney, citrus, hint of candied pineapple and dried fruits, sweet candy malt and grainy malt, smells like it has some age on it but it's still well within date
Taste brings mild sweet malt, grainy and a little candy sweet, more fruity hops, candied dried tropical fruits, pineapple, citrus, dried apricot, mild bitterness with a fair sweetness, good balance, drier finish with hops getting a touch more bitter and a bit spicy
Mouth is med bod, medium-higher fluffy carb
Overall not bad, decent APA in general, hops seem a little old but good, malts get a little on the sweet side but balance nicely, sweet side is normal for Brazilian beer so that's to be expected, so not bad
