Brought back from Brazil by in-laws
Pours a light fizzy head with lower retention, no real lacing, mostly clear cranberry to iced-tea brown color
Nose not bad for a red ipa, plenty of toasted grainy malts, sweet caramel, biscuity, a bit of toffee, very toasted reddish malt and light malt-derived fruity esters, then spicy herbal fruity hops kick in
Taste brings similar characters, fair malts out front, with a little caramel but plenty of sweet toasted grainy malt, bready biscuity, a little toffee, very toasted grain, little fruit malt-derived esters, into hops again, spicy earthy herbal, with a little fruity note, med hop bitterness, fair spiciness overall with a mild sticky finish and more spicy hops, med to a little higher bitterness lingering, light toasted grain lingering as well
Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, med to a bit higher foamy carb
Overall pretty nice, good red ipa balanced with good malt and decent hop character that blend well, enjoyable especially for a craft beer from Brazil
