1.25 Euros/500 mL bottle at the brewery. Reviewed 10/22/18.
Capped bottle marked “Mindestens haltbar bis 24.04.19” on the front label. Stored at room temperature in the brewery store and consumed at room temperature from a hand washed and dried glass coffee mug.
Appearance – 4.
Body – Medium brown, clear.
Head – Large (Maximum 4.5 cm, aggressive center pour), tan, creamy, good retention, diminishing to a four mm ring and complete layer.
Lacing – Fair – Complete partial ring of tiny bubbles.
First pour – Medium brown, hazy.
Aroma – 4 - Caramel malt.
Flavor – 4.25 - Less caramel and more malt than the nose. Slightly sweet. No hops, no alcohol (4.9 % ABV), no diacetyl, no dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 4 – Less than medium, bordering on syrupy, soft carbonation.
Impression and interpretation – 4.25 – I had this both on tap and from a bottle and there is very little difference – both are good.
