The use of rich, dark malts provide hints of Caramel, Nuts, and Toffee all backed by large amounts of Sweet Molasses. This dark sipper drinks rather dry for a beer of it’s capacity due to the large amounts of Rye Malt used.

Had on tap at the brewery. Poured a clear medium brown with a thin tan head that left little lacing. Smells of rye, roasted malts, caramel, molasses, dark fruits and some alcohol. Tastes of sweet roasted malts, rye, figs, caramel, molasses, toffee, dates and a bit of booziness. Medium bodied for the style, light carbonation, very slightly dry finish, smooth mouth feel.
