Pours a chestnut brown color with a huge beige head. The nose is flat. The flavor has a touch of raisin but this is largely a thin and bland effort. There are no noticeable barrel notes in this offering.

16 oz can, poured into glass
dark brown color with some garnet color in the edges. thick cream colored head, good head retention. Boozy raisin in the aroma. Similar taste, sweet dark fruit, warm alcohol, burnt sugar, earthy spice. Long finish. Would have guessed this beer was like 14% abv not 7%, I guess the hotness is from the barrel aging.
