Copenhagen 28/8 2017. 50 cl bottle from Meny. The usual white Krenkerup label with a little Gold Award for German-Style Doppelbock 2012 from European Beer Star.
Pours clear amber with small yellowish head. No lacing.
Aroma is sweet and quite laden with alcohol. Sweet malts, light fruitiness and sharp sour notes.
Light carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is sweet and boozy. Followed by light bitterness with a metallic tinge. Aftertaste is burnt rubber.
If you like your beer, strong, sweet and unforgiving this could be your thing.
