Copenhagen 28/11 2021. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Krenkerup's usual design with a simple white label with their coat of arms and in this case some golden snow crystals.
Pours slightly unclear reddish amber with a mid-sized yellowish head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam floating in the middel of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, malty odor bordering on being sugary mingling with sweet Christmas spices. Sweet lightly toasted malts, bread, toffee and sweet biscuits. Brown sugar, cinnamon.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a bitter undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Overdoing the sweet Christmas spices a bit - but I do believe that Christmas will arrive in due time after drinking this.
