Copenhagen 16/12 2021. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Krenkerup’s usual design in the black version. Some ice crystals to give it a bit of Christmas vibe.
Pours hazy amber with a dense white head. Stable. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a lightly toasted vibe. Caramel, toffee and a quite prominent presence of rye. Bread and grains.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, creamy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.
Interesting take on a Christmas brew where I actually notice the Rye.
