I always love a hazy ipa. Alrhough it was hazy, it did not have a good head. Taste was not fruity or dank. Smell was barely grapefruit. I love Tom's River Brewery, but this one is not good enough to be a good hazy IPA.

2d review. Liking this NJ shore brewer.
As big and wide a flavor profile as you'd find on a much heavier ABV IPA. Pine, citrus, melon, fruit salad.
a) Opaque apricot, low carbs, flattish body.
s) but perks up in the aroma with peach and melon and pine greater than citrus.
t) Continues the pine-bittered fruit salad.
f) finishes clean, juicy, good weight.
o) Different drummer indeed - their formula and higher temps work!

Massive head fills about half the glass, cream white hued, frothy and dense. Very hazy liquid falling short of puree, you can pretty easily see bubbles rise inside the glass. Good stiffness to the nose and unexpected, saline, pepper, dried mown grass, and a tarry dankness, slowly unfolds lemon to white grapefruit citrus and lean pineapple, nectarine, peach scents, very little tropical about it. Light to medium-bodied, on the dry side yet with a soft mouth feel. Neither sweet nor bitter, dank. Layered finish a nod to the style. Cleaner here with biscuit, pine, grapefruit and a dollop of honey at the end. The fruit similar to the nose, pineapple, mango, peach, not wanting but not voluptuous either. Might go so far as calling it tactful which is not a descriptor I’d offer for many NEIPAs. Like it.

Pours hazy yellow with a 1/2 white head. Aroma is mild hops with some citrus notes. Taste is citrus and some hop bitterness. Feel is good, smooth and coating. Overall a decent NEIPA.
