From a crowler purchased at The Beer Growler in Avondale Estates, GA.
This is a big beer. It is assertively hopped, with a large grain bill giving it a sticky-sweet malt backbone. It leaves zero doubt that it is a DIPA.
The aroma is a copious amount of citrus. Grapefruit and tart are Instantly noticeable when you pop and pour the can.
The taste is very aggressive hop with a balanced but noticeable maltiness. It’s a style that has become less prominent with the advent and popularity of NEIPAs, and is sorely missed by this reviewer.
The mouthfeel on this is thick and heavy but with a nice carbonation. Although I can drink several of most beers in any session, I suspect that this is a one-per-night offering.
Overall it’s a great DIPA. I would definitely order again.
