Appearance: Pours a hazy, golden-hued body with a medium-small, white head.

Smell: Crunchy, moderately toasted loaf bread with an implied malty sweetness beset with light notes of dried herbs.

Taste: Bready, lightly toasty, lightly grainy with a medium degree of sweetness and embracing richness. Herbal-toned hops with some balancing bitterness, though its bready maltiness pushes just barely to the fore in the finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: Pleasant tasting, though it could be a bit cleaner, particularly in its appearance.

September2023. Hartwell. One of the better domestics I tried today at VIP Oktoberfest-/so had 3 before this. A little hoppy. Still would go with authentic Herman fest bier because that is the way I am.

look: 4.75 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4
Appearance: Clear deep gold, fluffy white head with good retention.

Aroma: Floral & herbal

Taste: Bready and toasty malt. Spicy/Herbal hops. Slightly warming. Restrained bitterness. Sweet but dry finish

Feel: Medium body. Light carbonation. Drying.

Overall: Excellent take on Festbier style. On the high end of ABV and the alcohol peaks out a little. Fairly dry. Enjoyable.
