Bought at McGill’s itself, this Irish Red Ale makes a great first impression on this nanobrewery along the Ring of Kerry. A darker red color with orange amber hues , an aroma of toffee crisp, and a flavor which works those malts. It’s very flavorful for just a 5% ABV beer, yet it doesn’t weigh you down. Take the classic profile of toasty and caramel, balance it very well with just a whisker of alcohol and a feel with gentle bubbles, and you have an amazing pub beer which is honestly one of the best Irish Red’s I’ve had to date.
