Copenhagen 9/7 2020. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Alpha Delta's pretty cool logo in front and a distorted photo of a head in black and white in the background.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a medium-sized beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong sweet, sugary odor and some spices rummaging in the background. Brown sugar, hard candy, sweet dark fruits. Notes of bitter, dark chocolate. Quite strong odor of vanilla peeking in.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong, sugary sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingering. Finish is vanilla and cake.
Exceedingly sweet and sugary. Pastry with a capital P.
