red ale with good flavor and head rentention. There is a roasted malt backbone to this brew which gives it the taste of a porter or stout but a much lighter drinker for that flavor. But I don't think that flavor matches the style guidelines which brings the overall score down, but still not a bad brew at all. Would drink again in the fall or winter.
