Pours a clear dark brown with a scant finger of dark beige head.
Aroma heavy on peat - a bit smoky and woody, coffee, some chocolate and a fruity/berry note.
Woody and peaty on the palate, smoky with fruity coffee flavours - softly bitter; notes of dark chocolate, juniper berries.
Medium (light for the ABV) mouthfeel - creamy with muted carbonation - 8.8% ABV well hidden. Very good.
