Sampling a cold 16 oz can of this beer pouring into a snifter. Im not home so proper glassware is tough to find.
the beer pours a bright slightly cloudy golden color with a fluffy bleached white head of 2 cm foaming up. this foam fades to a sturdy surface covering and leaves scattered lattice on the glass. The surface covering sticks around throughout the sampling.
Aroma is some bready yeast and lemon peel with hints of black pepper too. No abv hint.
First sip reveals a medium to light body with fine tingly carbonation. Texture is smooth to watery and the beer drinks very easy.
Flavor is light with grainy malt notes and some bready yeast and scone flavor then a good hit of lemon and some rindy bite with again black pepper. No fusol warmth so I believe pepper is yeast not ABV.
The beer drinks very easy and seems to be what I would expect from a hefeweizen. I do note a decent amount of sediment has settled in my glass towards the end of the sampling. This is a decent beer for a hot day and the dry bite does encourage the next sip. A little more yeast complexity would bump this one up for me
