.5L emptied into a Pokal.
A: Pours a deep orange with a fluffy 2-finger bone white head which receeds to a thin ring. No lacing.
S: Buscuity sweet malt, trace of corn adjunct, earthy hops, lemons, yeast bread.
M: Medium bodied with good carbonation.
T: Creamy malt beginnings, mildly spicy hops. There is a malty sweetness that predominates through the middle, with a subtile hop undertone. Clean finish with a mild aftertaste.
D: A so-called "Festivalbier" brewed exclusively by Ottakringer for the Summer rock festivals which are held in fields across Austria. This was a real surprise, as I fully expected a lot less from the taste. This was a solid example of the style and does exactly what it should do in a festival setting: quench your thirst without overloading the palate.
