From the half liter bottle, it pours a light golden yellow color, slightly hazy, with a large long lasting white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. The nose gets a nice dose of smoke, along with the mouth, when it gets a bit of the head, followed by a nice smoky brew. Yum!

Brauerei Hölzlein "Rauch"
on tap at the brewery on 16 September 2017
Notes: Hazy deep gold beneath a fluffy head of white. Very good head retention and lacing. Aroma of light smoke and grain. The falvor is sweetly grainy with a hint of caramel, a touch of apple, and light smoke. A median bitterness balances it and it finishes lingering with sweet grainy malt and a hint of smoke. Medium bodied and gently crisp. Really nicely done.
