Look:
Reddish brown with gold copper hues, head thick and white, airy and dissipates quickly
Aroma: mild overall but fruity, cherry up front, figs and grapes mixed in with some spices; all very clean and pleasant
Taste: mildly tart, sweet overtones and the alcohol takes a back seat. The fruits comes out as follows, fig, cherry and raisin, the spices are first in the aftertaste followed by the fruits. Extremely mild cloves in the corners of the mouth, and reminds me a fruity bubble gum
Mouthfeel: medium, smooth and well rounded with esters, phenols and carbonation-carbonation is better when purchased fresh, I had two one on the first day and one four days later, both very good but carbonation takes the biggest hit-both were from a can
Overall: very enjoyable beer, very good and very delicious, that being said, you can still taste the difference between an authentic Belgian strong dark ale and this one, not putting anyone down because hey, practice makes better
