Slightly hazy and translucent body. Orange-colored; good head production, retention, and lacing.
Prominent caramel malt on the nose, amplified by some stale hops (4 month old can). Overall quite pleasant, however, and not difficult to extrapolate to a more overall pleasant aroma, with the notes of both pale and crystal malts, along with mandarin orange and grapefruit from the hops. Not much of a tropical fruit expression and no dankness, despite the varietals in play.
Very pleasant, although for my palate, the staleness is simply too much. Wonderful blend of hop tones, including both citrus and tropical fruit.
Smooth clean expression.
A fresh can would likely be a delight. For me and my palate (and, frankly, gag reflex), it's just not a beer I can handle at this age - which is a disappointment, as four months really isn't that crazy of an age for a beer, even an IPA. Definitely doing some extrapolation here, as well as giving credit where I can find it, because the flavor really is quite nice.
