50cl bottle poured into a pint sleeve.
BBE 18/11/2010
A- Light blonde body with excellent clarity. 2 finger tight head that produces good lacing
S- Slightly musty, a touch metallic/DMS, some munich malt.Maybe a little wholemeal bread??
T- Malt dominates, moderate hop bitterness comes through in the finish underneath the malt sweetness. Medium dry finish.
M- Moderate carbonation and medium body.
D- Standard heller bock really, good balance with malt profile dominating and a clean mouthfeel. Nothing special.

This beer poured a very nice golden color with a massive head that sticks to the glass. Enormous amouns of bubbles rise to the top.
Smell was interesting, typically German with some sulfur and a grainy or spent grains smell. Some metallic smell. After some more smelling a husk smell.
Taste was bitter on the side and back of my tongue, but in a mild way. Some tobacco and vanilla notes, which are induced by the sweetness of the beer. Again some grainy mash tastes, but this really suits the beer.
Mouthfeel is a little too sweet for me, which also takes the drinkability number down. After one beer, I am full (not really, but I had enough of this beer for now).
