This beer is a nice example of the doppelbock style and taste is very dark and deep, with a robust malt backbone.
Appearance is dark brown, almost black with a very thin head and some coarse foam.
Smell of dark chocolate and coffee together with an intense maltiness and some yeast products.
Taste of dark chocolate and coffee, generating a good maltbitterness. The depth is generated by the extreme maltiness, that suspects the use of a lot of munich malt.
The beer is sweet and sticky and full-bodied. This is the results of the all-malt brewing methode and the beer is still very drinkable, despite it.
One of the better doppelbocks I have had.
