A very tasty, smooth, and flavorful DIPA. Will definitely look for this one again!

Over-ripe lemon yellow in color with a murky, unfiltered appearance. Poured with a short, creamy white foam with low retention. Aromas of wheat malt, fresh orange zest, fleshy pitted fruit, and a hint of spicy esters. Medium bodied with medium light carbonation. Light, creamy smooth feel with boozy warmth through the middle to the end. Mellow fruity flavors with citrus orange and wheat malt. Medium light bitterness immediately followed by a boozy bite. Boozy warmth, light fruitiness, wheat malt and spicy estery notes to the end. Finished dryly with lingering citric and fruity notes that slowly fade followed by light peppery notes. Very interesting flavor profile, wheat malt balances the hol forward character. Would love to know if a hefeweizen yeast or some kind of yeast blend was used for fermentation. High abv was apparent with the boozy bite, but didn't detract from the drinkability. This was excellent.
