16oz can purchased at River City Brewing, in Spokane, Washington, for approximately $6. This version of the nation-wide All Together IPA movement was brewed, according to the info on the can label, at Lumberbeard Brewing, but in collaboration with five other local breweries: River City (which explains it's availability there), For the Love of God, Project Craft, Hello, and YaYa (the latter is in Spokane Valley, but all the others are in Spokane proper, I believe; I'm still a bit fuzzy on Hello Brewing). I believe Lumberbeard has the biggest system and brewing space of all these breweries, so I think that's why the cans state them as the actual brewing location.
Poured into the same IPA glass as my previous local stab at the All Together IPA, this was markedly different in appearance. This was an entirely opaque, yellowish color, with an off-white head that was a little less long-lived, although there was no discernable difference between the resulting lace.
More full-on citrusy in the nose, and seemingly a little more bitter. Seems like one of those kinda bitter, kinda acidic juice bomb Hazys.
The latter proved to be the case. Big, bitter citrus juice up front, but lacking the piney sort of bitterness of a west coast IPA. Big dry zap to the palate at the swallow.
Medium bodied (at the lower end), with a prickly and somewhat resiny mouthfeel.
Juice bomb-y and hazy in appearance, but without the sweetness and the soft mouthfeel of a full-on NE hazy. I like it, but it's a type I kinda have to be in the mood for if I'm going to have more than one of in a session.
