Project Craft & Lumberbeard Collab.

The can is a cool nod to the Portland Timbers.

Color is pale straw, does have some opacity to it, lots of sediment in the glass, white head with tight soapy bubbles which faded fairly quickly, slight glass lacing...even though my glass was not the cleanest.

Smell is muted on the opening of the can, does not jump out and take you in. After being poured into a glass it opens up into a over ripe pineapple, spiciness with a nice citrus blast. Smells is very good. There is a sweetness there too.

Taste does have a spiciness to the slightly dank resinous tropical fruit notes. Might even be some hints of pine in there too. Pretty heavy bitterness on the back end, does coat the tongue. Does not explode with flavor but does drink well. Summary: PNW IPA with some hazy juice added.

Mouthfeel for the 6.5% ABV is light and prickly which makes it easy to drink. Do get some sediment from the can every once in a while.

Overall a pretty decent beer, you should defiantly give it a try.

This collaboration comes from 2 fairly new up and coming breweries in Spokane, WA. Project Craft reminds me of a little neighborhood Portland joint a friend turned me on to about 5 years ago. You know them as Great Notion Brewing. I am not familiar with Lumberbeard brewing and have only had one other IPA by them. I will be heading there soon to gather a full opinion.

Poured from a 16 ounce can into a tulip glass.

Look- Pale straw, visible sediment, hazy, lower than average head retention and lacing.

Smell- Citrus, dank, earthy.

Taste- Very herbal, sharp citrus.

Feel- Thin body, prickly, astringent.
