Crowler from the source.
Pours a dark brown bordering on black with a thin off white head that quickly recedes. They had a lot of trouble pouring this into the crowler and that may have affected my perception of this beer. Rich coffee like roast with some earthy grassy hops to counter. Licorice and roast seem to overpower. The body feels a bit thin not creamy like I would expect from the style. Decent but needs some tweaks to be world class, or maybe I need to try a pint at the source.
