Cloudy golden in color. Thick and lively white head. Nose hints at malts. Taste is pine and citrus but also tastes like ti might have some pilsner in it. Small amount of bitterness on palate.

12oz can

Pours a small finger of white head into my can-style glass. Somewhat resilient though, not much has faded. Initial lacing looks great. Body is a very light shade of yellow, looks more like a pilsner. Crystal clear, with a ton a bubbles coming up, and a little bit of sediment. Other than not looking like a pale ale, this looks really nice.

Nose is very nice. Dank, fruity, classic mosaic shines very clearly. It’s smells light, clean, and refreshing. A touch of citrus, but I’d say the fruit lands a little more on the tropical side. Simple, but this is aromatic, and damn near perfect for a pale ale.

Flavor isn’t quite as full in those tropical flavors, which is a bummer. It still hits home as a pretty reasonable pale. Touch of dankness, mostly a light citrus dominates the palate, bitterness plays a role for a second. This is a fine flavor, but there is a pretty significant drop off from aroma here.

Mouthfeel is pretty unique. Very wet and refreshing. Not really sweet or dry, just wet, very nice. Body is very very light, but it works here. Carbonation is about medium. Bitterness is probably on the lower side for a pale ale. The refreshing and quenching nature of this beer helps pick up a lot of the pieces it might lose in its vanilla flavor.

Drinkability is very very nice. It’s tasty, refreshing, and balanced is an understatement.

Appearance turned out very nice. Despite the lackluster pour, the head that showed up stayed around for a very long time, leaving behind some very thick lacing.

Maybe I’m being harsh on the flavor, but this just feels a tad underwhelming. The rest of the beer is super put together, and overall very nice.
