On tap at the brewery.
This poured a pretty burnished brown with garnet glints but basically flat, the low,wisp of head disappears as the glass was set before me.
Aroma is candy sweet - caramel coated almonds with hints of cherry and oak.
The flavor is bold and over sweet up front. Strong caramel malt character with very little grain/yeast presence or hop bite for balance.'
This body is heavy yet not quite cloying. Finish is warm and finally some peppery hop pricks my tongue beside the boozy burn.
Rough but not a bad attempt at a unique style.
