I enjoyed a few of this bier yesterday during Martha's celebration of their 1000th batch of bier since they started brewing. Greg, the brewer, and the staff handed out a free round of this to the house. Sweet! 1000 is a deep copper colored brew, with a slight bit of cloudiness to it. There was really no head at all on it, though, and lace either. Nose was semi-sweet and malty, with some candi-sugar notes also present. The body was about medium, and a low carbonation level gave the bier a fairly smooth feel on the tongue. Flavor was also malty and semi-sweet, with a slight hint of caramel. Candi-sugar also is present, and there's a subtle bit of yeastiness as well. This is a tasty brew, and it is quite "warming" too. Nice job, Greg! Prosit!!

Pours with a one-fingered white head that fades quickly and leaves a trace of lace. Very light carbonation. Light, cloudy amber color. Nose is malty. Starts malty and smooth; finishes on the sweet side with a hint of raisins. Light-medium bodied. Brewmaster has made about 200 gallons and expects it to last until late January. Not a session brew, take your time and enjoy this one.
