I'm not a big dunkelweizen fan, but I thought this one was a bit more punchy flavorwise than some of the other brews I had that day (The Flanders Red still takes the number one prize). Anyway, very cloudy, dark tangerine, with a small white head that amazingly did not give off any overt clove, banana, or bubblegum aroma...what??? Aroma was more of a milk chocolate. Medium mouthfeel. Tastewise, I was surprised, the milk chocolate followed through. I wasn't surprised by the bubblegummy finish though.

New offering at Marthas... Hit the place last night with Alewife and was joined by Artied2....
Poured a turbid, opaque brown. Looked like a flood-ravaged river, roiling with mud. Had a short head, light tan, yet left decent lacing. Verry sweet nose, heavy on the malt and chocolate. Touch of clove, but smelled like ovaltine. 'Twas medium bodied, yet with a touch of prickly roughness on the tongue. Flavor matched the nose: very sweet with heaps of choco and even a smidge of toffee. Light clove as well, but more like a chocolate shake... Hard to think this is what Greg was shooting for. Artie didn't much go for it either, though Alewife thought it better.
Prosit!!
