Looks like this isn't retired anymore. Just had this on tap. Medium gold with a white cap of foam. Rings of lace, slight haze.

Citric hop aroma, some light toasted malt.

Dry, lightly toasted malt with a squirt of grapefruit. There are some light fruit, boiled grain, and cereal notes as well. Some watery flavors as well, which is typical of Martha's. I'll be kind with the 3.5, but it could use some intensity.

Medium bodied but seems thinner, as the loose, watery elements of the beer play with your palate.

This is nothing you'd seek out. A good solid IPA. Decent hop strength, but the thin flavors and boiled grain will make you go toward something else. Ok if at the brewery and want an IPA, but other than that, ....eh.

I had this on tap a couple of weeks ago at M's.... So hoppy I thought it was the Golden Perch at first, but it really was McGann's... Too bad I hadn't tried this before...

Pours into the shaker glass a rich golden, with a slight touch of cloudiness. It's topped by a creamy head of a light-tan to off-white color. Lacing is great, sticking all over the glass! Nose exhibits toasty malt, with citrussy hops easily discernable in the air. A solid medium body accompanies a fairly smooth liquid on the tongue.

Flavor kicks off with some malty sweetness, but the citrus aspect comes on strong soon thereafter. Malt is, again, with a toasty character, but the resiny, rindy hops shine through here. This is very easily quaffable, especially at 5.50% abv. And, as Greg mentions in his brewers notes on their website, this is an American IPA, with the "London" referring to an old friend in whose honor the bier was named.

Prosit!!
