Enjoyed on tap with brewer Greg at the brewpub in Nashua. Dark brown with a bubbly head and lots of lace. A bit above average muthfeel, licorice in taste. Decent brown, not too sweet. a brown, so depends on the day. Was not getting the roast in there today.

Served on cask at the brewpub on 07.13.2007.
I was informed by Martha's head brewer that this was his assistant's own creation.
Deep amber in color beneath a creamy, off-white sheet. Minimal ringed lacing with decent strength. Aromatics of semi-sweet caramel, earthen floral hops, and hints of sweet spice. Toasted, biscuity malts with a lingering, semi-sweetness; mild toffee and caramel. Earthen, floral hops with just a touch of bitterness. Medium bodied; creamy and smooth on the palate. A session Brown Ale, very inviting and highly drinkable especially on cask.
