Having had the "regular" version of this beer prior to the cask conditioned version I thought I knew what to expect. Boy was I wrong! The cask conditioned style had a larger head compared to it's non cask cousin. Lots of lacing on the glass as well as a very smooth feel going down. The smell was not very strong with this one compared to the others I had tonight. If I had more time I would have definitely had more and I would reccomend having a pint of this.

This is my first rye, and was not to bad. Was a light copper color with very little head. A nice lace was left behind. Was a light body with a nice aroma of hops and malt. This was a little bit bitter but I'm not sure how Ryes are supposed to be. This was not too bad.

Not ever having had a rye-bier before, I'm not 100% sure how to rate this... This one had a clear, copper color, with a creamy white head, which was lasting and lacing. I could not pick up any discernible aroma in the nose at all. Alewife wondered if this was water. It did have good mouthfeel, overall. Flavor I found was a definite hop finish (Tettnang, according to the Brewer), being crisp and dry, also. Have had rye-bread, but no similar flavors evident to me. Again, I'm a rye-bier neophyte, so help me out here, if possible!
