Munich style Dunkel brewed in conjunction with New England craft beer Icon Paul Davis. It is full of toasted sweet malt and balanced by noble hops. Smooth and delicious. - Greg

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2008. Deep golden colour. Strong aroma of fruity American hops, some oaky and winey notes too. Reasonably hoppy flavour, nice beer.

Der Schnitt Oben, or "a cut above", as brewer Greg notes in Martha's menu.
Had a pseudo-pint (approx 14oz) at Marthas last night. Pours a mostly clear medium copper color, with just a smidge of haze. Head is tan and thin, mostly just bubbles around the edge, leaving lacing here and there. Nose is rather subdued, with some caramel and light hopping evident. Good mouthfeel on this one, with a solid, medium body, and a pleasant feel on the tongue.
Flavor is somewhat toasty, with caramel more evident here than in the nose, and "tasting" quite smooth. Toastiness melds nicely with some pleasurable noble hops, lingering well down the hatch. Though Greg states in his notes on-line that this bier is in the Munich Dunkel style, it's lighter in color, and without the typical roastiness found in most Dunkels. Nonetheless, it is a tasty offering. Get it while you can.
Prosit!!
