Comes to the table a solid black color with a good sized tan head that slowly dissipates but never leaves. Smells of roast, chocolate, licorice, molasses, wood, and earthy hops. The flavor follows the aroma quite well with lots of milk chocolate and dark burnt sugars up front. A moderate amount of dark fruits and woody notes with a balancing earthy hop flavor round things out nicely. Thick body with a light level of carbonation and a sweet creamy velvety mouthfeel. This is a nice thick stout, I quite enjoyed it.
