From the growler via The Growler Stop in Newtown, and enjoyed in a snifter.
This unique hybrid strong lager pours a deep brownish black with a nice
head of off white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin light film, and shows
faint lacing. Nose of pine, rich caramel malts, subtle grapefruit notes,
and astringent booze touches. Flavors surpass the nose with a nice
presentation of pine, honey malts, caramel, grapefruit zest, subtle pineapple,
and caramel malts. Nice mouth feel; medium body, medium light carbonation,
and a pine hop laden finish.
A unique hybrid between a double IPA and a Euro strong ale akin to
the Polish brewers and their strong offerings.
Overall, a solid brew from a new to me brewery!
Can;t wait to visit!
Cheers
