473ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for about $3.75 CDN. Canned November 7, 2023. Batch 29.
Appearance - Cloudy amber brew topped with two plus fingers of loose off-white head. Pretty good staying power and just clear enough to make out some visible carbonation.
Smell - Mango and vanilla most prominent with some coconut sprinkled in. Also a bit of a soft peach aroma.
Taste - Light mango up front before the coconut dominates. Vanilla mixed in. Smoothie-esque in taste but the only thing that lingers is coconut. Low bitterness and fairly sweet.
Mouthfeel - Full bodied and creamy, kind of a tropical dessert beer for summertime. Carbonation is middling and finish is also creamy.
Overall - Nothing wrong with this brew, just not something I'm likely to pick up as Tropical Vibe is a) adding lots of lactose and b) Has heavy coconut and vanilla aroma and flavor neither of which are tastes and smells I particularly desire in an IPA.
