Black with some reddish tones in the light. Good head which collapses evenly. Nose is like a sweet chocolate bar, very inviting. Marsmallow and vanilla sweet body, on the lighter side. Smooth mouthfeel but definitely not sessionable because of the sweetness.

Sampling a cellar temp 473 ml can poured into my snifter. Picked this up at a shop in Tantramar in July and finally sampling it today. The beer is date stamped 4/13/2023.
Beer pours a nice dark cola brown color with a dense creamy tan head of about 1.5 cm. This foam settles to a thin edge layer about 2 minutes after the pour.
Aroma is roasted malts and some dark chocolate mixing with sweet vanilla notes. No hint of hops anywhere and ABV is hidden. Sweet vanilla notes do dominate the nose.
First sip reveals a pretty light body for a stout and very fine slightly fizzy carbonation. Texture is smooth but does border on watery.
Flavor is roasted malts and dark chocolate and I keep getting a husky peanut note, label does not mention anything about peanuts. There is also a good dose of sweet vanilla that is fairly sugary.
I never get any hop profile on the flavor and ABV stays hidden throughout.
The beer drinks pretty easy, maybe too easy and it definitely tracks on the sweeter side of things.
Im glad I tried this one and it was one of the only stouts I found at a store, but the thin body and high sweetness are detriments here.

Can: Poured a light black color stout with a large light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of chocolate notes with some light roasted malt and residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of light roasted malt notes with some chocolate notes and too much residual sugar notes. Body is too thin for the style with good carbonation. Too thin and too sweet to be truly enjoyable.
