The perfect balance of roasted malts, this award- winning stout is dark, sweet and full-bodied. The caramel, chocolate, and coffee flavors derived from over nine types of grain combine with the soft, creamy sweetness from the lactose to tantalize the senses.

The potential for a solid milk stout is there but the dearth of carbonation sinks this one for me. Mouthfeel is poor and taste is negatively impacted. I’ll seek another can and adjust scoring if needed.

The pour was absolutely beautiful! And the first scent was also an inviting roasted smell, I wanted to list a lot of nuanced flavors I noticed but actually this was a simple and delicious stout. Not super busy, coffee, sweetness, chocolate and velvety smooth, really a good, simple milk stout!

It leans more towards just a regular stout than a milk stout. There's is a reason why it's a gold metal winner. Could use a bit more carbonation to make it perfect.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This excellent example of the style
pours a dark blackish brown with a nice head of tan foam that
settles to a thin ring, light dusty layer, and sports some faint
lacing. Nose of dark cocoa, dark coffee hints, cream, brulee,
and deep roast. Flavors hit the perfect balance with dark
bakers cocoa, cream, char, roast, dark brown sugars, dark
coffee, and subtle dark berry notes. Nice mouth feel; medium full
verging on a full body, light soft carbonation, and a bitter malt
driven finish.
Overall, an excellent brew from a new to me brewery!
Cheers
