It's about tiime to finally review this strange one. It's a black IPA, all right - it pours black with a good three fingers of lightly tanned head. The smell is a mystery, as it takes up the milkshake part of the equation with some ingredients most associated with pastry stouts. It smells very fluffy with lots of marshmallow and vanilla, and that is how it tastes as well. The malts are quite strong and backed by a hoppy bitterness. The first can was quite a baffling surprise. The body is mid, quite smooth and creamy rather than carbonated, with some residual sweetness. Quite enjoyable, hope to make it to the brewery one of these days.
