Ein Prosit! This Festbier mimics what is served in Germany for the annual Oktoberfest celebration. Drittes Auge is a smooth, clean, pale German lager that showcases elegant bready malt character without being too heavy or filling. It is well-balanced, medium bodied, and finishes with a light sweetness that contributes to its excellent drinkability.

While this has some good German cred - good name, Columbus always had a German village or something - I'm not sure what it really is. It's one easy drinking brew.
This pours yellow, clear and fizzy. The aroma isn't all that different from many American lagers, just a bit more character. The taste redeems itself with subtle, light maltiness, but nothing like some of the other seasonals - it is really light. I guess you could consume lots of these.
Not recommended. I expected more body.

12oz undated can poured into a mug at fridge temp 5.7% ABV 21 IBU per can. The beer pours bright light gold in color with nearly white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and island. Spotty lacing. The aroma is mild with pils malt and a hint of grassy hops. The taste is semisweet pils malt with grassy hop flavor and moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is thin bodied with above average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. There's a hint of sulfur, but otherwise clean. Overall, good. Easy to drink and tasty.

From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This excellent brew pours a
clear golden with a nice head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin
dusty layer, and sports some nice light lacing. Nose of caramel malts, light
breaded malts, and subtle herbal hops. Flavors are on target with caramel,
breaded malts, and a nicely balanced herbal bittering hop note. Nice mouth
feel; medium body, medium light and lightly crisp carbonation, and finishing
subtly dry.
Excellent fest, check these guys out, they are killing it!

At the brewery in a glass.
Drittes Auge actually means Third Eye ;-)
Clear golden color with a thin head that goes away really quick.
Bready malts and a subtle sweetness.
Medium body with good carbonation, has a somewhat silky feel to it.
It's a solid Festbier!
