Who knew spooky could be so tasty? The sense of the deep fall season sure looks like ghouls and goblins but its flavor is of sugar, spice and all things nice. There's no tricks in Third Eye's pumpkin spice ale, only treats.
Golden amber at it's pour, Pumpkin P-eye even starts to look pumpkiny. Capped with a short eggshell froth, the bubbles bring a warming scent of fall spice with savory caramelization and hints of creamy vanilla. Flavors follow suit with a toasty, nutty and sweet introduction of caramel, graham cracker and candied pecan. Hints of praline come about before the balance of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and ginger do the hop's work in achieving an earthy and spicy balance.
Medium bodied and rather drinkable for sweeter ale. this is a perfect blend of palatability and flavor.

Can from the brewery
Pours a deep amber color with a thick off-white head, good retention.
Aroma has good notes of pumpkin and cinnamon.
Taste has a subtle spiciness with a hint of sweet caramel malts.
Medium body with a silky feel to it.
I am not a big fan of the style but this one is quite nice.

Pours a beautiful translucent caramel with 2 fingers of frothy white head. Good retention and reducing to a sudsy white cap. Smell is pumpkin, allspice and cinnamon. Taste follows suit with the introduction of honey and sweet malt, maybe some nutmeg in there as well. Feel is very velvety and smooth. Probably the best pumpkin beer I’ve had.
