This award-winning luxuriously rich imperial stout has won multiple medals including winning GOLD in the 2023 Great American Beer Festival. The stars of this brew are the rich, bittersweet Maverick Chocolate Company cocoa nibs and husks used liberally during the brewing process. It is one of our favorites and we hope you enjoy!

Received a can from @jzeilinger 4-24-26. No canning date; consumed 5-14-26. Cold stored since acquisition. Thanks man!

Beer poured b lack with a gorgeous long lasting tan head.

Nose is defined by a dominant chocolate/dark chocolate profile.

Taste is a large mildly roasted malt base that emits notes of chocolate. Cocoa addition takes it to another flavor level that enhances. The bitter chocolate and hopping leave an appropriate style amount of sweetness.

Mouthfeel is full bodied and perfectly smooth!

Overall, i can see why this won a gold medal, so flipping good!

The dark can be scary, but Third Eye is helping us through the abyss with sweetness and chocolate. Pouring a lusciously dark and viscus appearance, a patient pull of dark mocha froth releases a luxurious scent of milk chocolate, caramel, cappuccino and cola. Malt sweetness slathers the tastebuds with malt sweetness capturing the dessert richness of bittersweet chocolate, caramel, simple syrup, hazelnut and toffee until the roasted balance of espresso roast adds to the sharpness and balance. Trailing quickly into a spicy and kahlua warmth, the late palate leaves the pleasantries of Dr. Pepper, Root Beer and Coca Cola on a lasting aftertaste.

Full bodied, gently cloying and warming with alcohol spice, the beer shows a lot of premature fatigue on the palate rendering the small can to a sharing event as any more than a few ounces at a time prove difficult.

Small can poured into a stout glass, pours a dark brown with a thick mocha head. Aromas of toasted malt mixed with cocoa. The taste follows. This is a rather luxurious, chocolatey brew. Sweet but chocolate/cocoa all the way down. Silky, coating, a tad dry. Very nice and easy to drink.

This one isn't super complex, but that works in its favor. It's fudge in a glass.

Canned on: ?????

A - Dark brown pour with dense, light caramel colored lacing.

S - Big sweet toasted cocoa and chocolate aroma with no alcohol presence on the nose.

T - No surprise this follows the nose with big sweet toasted cocoa and chocolate from start to finish and finishes on the sweeter side with nice lingering cocoa and chocolate.

M - Big silky medium body that's frothy around the edges and dry on the back of the tongue while coating the mouth with a layer of cocoa and chocolate.

O - I really love this beer and the scary part is the ABV because it's completely hidden. Recommended.

Wow. From the crowler via the brewery in a snifter. This imperial chocolate oatmeal
stout which happens to be the 2021 Ohio Cup – Gold Medal winner, and for good reason,
pours a luscious coal black with a fantastic head of brown foam that settles to a fat ring, thick
layer, and shows some excellent lacing. Nose of dark chocolate, cream, brulee, light char,
deep roasted malts, brown sugars, vanilla, and sweet caramel malts. Flavors hit the note
with dark chocolate, semi-sweet, vanilla cream akin to an opera cream, light char, deep
roasted malts, brown sugars, caramel, dark fruit touches of blueberry, brulee, moderate
to light coffee, and layers of malt that hit the sweet spot without being cloying. Exceptional
mouth feel; full body, smooth oatmeal notes, soft carbonation, and bittersweet malt
driven finish.

Overall....what a brew....what a brewery....stunned. I can see why this one took first in Ohio!

Mr. Bluejacket74----have I got a place for YOU and Laura!

Cheers!
