This newest addition to our brown ale line up introduces the deep complex nuttiness of black walnuts. Flavorful and malty with a delightful richness and earthy notes.

Deep, complex and still very drinkable, Third Eye brewers show that robust taste doesn't have to compromise smoothness.
Medium brown and with tethers of garnet through the center, Inner Sight floats a creamy beige froth and a lightly sultry scent of caramel, toast, coffee and nuttiness. Malt sweetness splashes the early palate with a host of caramel, toffee and light maple while a followup of heavy toast, breakfast blend coffee and roasting walnut provide a savory complement to sweetness. Trailing into a mild and woodsy bitterness, the late palate is briskly hoppy to ensure a daring sense of refreshment.
Medium-full, richly flavored but smoothly textured, the walnut brown ale is a perfect beer for burgers, cooling evenings and all winter long.

Poured from a 12-oz can just over two months past its canning date into a Nonic pint glass.
Look: Ruby brown, flush of bubbles rising — a pretty pour — and a two-inch light tan head with good retention. Abundant lacing.
Nose: Sweet roasted malt, toasted nuts, caramel, and toast.
Taste: The first impression is of the carbonation. Though that responsibly belongs under “Mouthfeel,” it’s the first thing I “tasted.” Immediately underneath comes the malt and the walnut. The taste then finishes with a dryness just short of hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium, drinkable, but — again the carbonation is a bit more than I’d prefer.
Overall: I’ve been searching for a great American Brown to replace the now-no-longer-brewed Listermann Triple Digit Chikow!; while not quite, this comes very close, and will probably replace it for me.

I got a 6pck of cans of this beer from my local Kroger store. It poured a clear rich dark mahogany with thin ecru head that is leaving some lace. The scent had maple syrup notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with dark rye malt base with sweet maple and nut presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.
