Mocha Operandi is a calculated indulgence—an imperial coffee stout brewed with intention and executed to perfection. Layers of bold espresso and rich mocha unfold over a dense, velvety body, delivering notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, and subtle sweetness. Smooth, complex, and undeniably decadent, this stout operates in the shadows between coffee and cocoa, finishing with a lingering roast that leaves no loose ends.

A - Dark brown pour with frothy, creamy toffee colored lacing.
S - Mocha and coffee, with a subtle chocolate sweetness underneath and light roast. Overall aroma is deep chocolate roast decadence.
T - Mocha, cream, coffee bean, some char (with a slight bit of smoke), cocoa, cream, and ends with a light chocolate coffee bitterness.
M - Silky medium body with a little bit of warming in the back of the throat and leaves a light sugary residue on the lips.
O - A rock solid Imperial Stout.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf at The Perfect Pour in Dublin, Ohio. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that left some lace. The scent had chocolate and roast notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet dark chocolate malt base with coffee roast presence. The mouthfeel was fuller in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.
