Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned on 11/10/22; the brewery calls this a "tropical west coast-style IPA".
Appearance: medium golden hue with a light haze and a thick finger of frothy ivory foam. Looks nice.
Smell: sweet, toasty malt, with a piney, earthy hop character. I perhaps get just a little pineapple as well, but it seems a lot more "west coast" than "tropical" to me.
Taste: citrusy, piney, and earthy hops atop a slightly sweet malt with a bit of toastiness and biscuit character. Not too bad, but it doesn't really jump out at me.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this is a perfectly reasonable IPA, and I might even have a couple at the bar, but I don't think I'd go out of my way for it.
