Long Valley- Best Bitter
Appearance- Light yellow orange with no head.
Smell- Musty straw and light sugary corn malt.
Taste- Light corn polenta flavor with a musty hay/straw flavor.
Mouthfeel- Mild funky bitterness. Earthy like a saion.
Overall- A surprisng letdown. I was hoping for big candy malt and a nice earthy hop but it was a weak esb meets a summer wheat.

This is cask conditioned. The oak cask flavor does stand out, in fact, it seems to cover most of the other flavors.
When it came to me, it had a 1-inch creamy head with a hazy dark gold color. The aroma was woody with alcohol present in the aroma. The flavor was a bit disappointing. The oak flavor was mixed with a yeast flavor in the background. As with several other beers I tried here, the yeast flavor lingered.
I was not very impressed. My friends and I decided to move on to another after just one.

This is not the beer it used to be. Since Tim left for Times Square this is the beer that has suffered the most. Being served now on nitro instead of hand pump it has been somewhat inconsistent and even when its good its not as good as it used to be.
Hard to pinpoint what is not right about the taste, its just not there anymore. Sad since I live 15 minutes from this place and have been going there since they opened 10 years ago.

Slightly malty with hints of herbal bitterness.

A deliscious scotch sweetness blossoms on the the tongue followed by a crisp bitter finish. An absolute delight.

Served on the handpump. Orange / copper in color, with a nice 1" head that creates some nice lacing. The aroma is of light malts. The flavor is pleasant as the malt and soft fruit tones are nicely balanced with some medium bitterness.
The mouthfeel is smooth and has a slightly dry and mild bitter finish that is quite refreshing. Medium bodied. Definitely a session beer that one can enjoy all day, as I noticed I quaffed this relatively quickly.
